애틀랜타 밀알선교단 소개
About Us
애틀랜타 밀알선교단은 기독신앙을 바탕으로 하며, 장애인과 함께 전도, 봉사, 계몽하는 사역을 그리스도 예수의 마음으로 실천하는 선교단 입니다.
밀알선교단의 창립 취지는 장애인들이 겪는 아픔과 소외당해 살수밖에 없는 사회구조 속에서 장애인들에게 그리스도의 복음을 전하고(전도), 그들의 현실적인 어려움을 도우며(봉사), 장애인에 대한 교회와 사회의 인식(계몽) 이라는 3대 선교사명으로 이재서 박사를 통하여 1979년 한국에서 부터 시작하였다. 애틀랜타 밀알선교단은 이런 선교사명을 그대로 이어받아 2000년 1월 27일에 창립되었습니다.
The Founder, Dr. Jae-Suh Lee is visually handicapped and has personally experienced the pain and suffering of being handicapped person in Korea. Dr. Lee was concerned about the welfare of all disabled people around the world (Volunteer Help), how to teach churches and societies (Enlighten) to have right perspective of handicapped, and how to spread Gospel to them(Evangelism). Milal Wheat Mission was established in 1979 with 3 goals which are as follows: Evangelism, Volunteer, and Enlightenment to handicapped people.
